Base Salary
$175k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software teams in designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and deployment tooling for operational software.
- Configure and maintain CI/CD environments across multiple classification levels.
- Support cloud toolsets and automate infrastructure provisioning in unclassified environments.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor Kubernetes clusters and pod configurations.
- Improve developer productivity, application performance, security monitoring, alerting, reliability, and compliance with Department of Defense standards.
- Coordinate with corporate IT and customer environments to maintain reliable team infrastructure.
- Coach team members on DevOps practices and continuously improve engineering processes.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. security clearance with SCI eligibility are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least five years of work experience are required.
- Experience with GitLab, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and provisioning tools such as Ansible or Chef is required.
- Experience with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Kubernetes monitoring, Linux system administration, Python, and Linux Shell is required.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences are required.
- Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to San Diego, Denver, Arlington, or Boston.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Top Secret clearance, an advanced degree, full web-service stack experience, Jira, GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, artifact repositories such as Nexus or Artifactory, code analysis tools such as SonarQube or Coverity, Terraform, Agile/Scrum team leadership, and a current Security+ certification.

- Flexible hybrid work arrangement with remote work when facilities are not required and an expectation of 2–3 days per week at STR or U.S. Government facilities.
