Responsibilities
- Design and manage technical strategies that support team objectives and efficient, timely execution.
- Design, maintain, and create API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI for internal development teams and external clients.
- Own system architecture and ensure alignment with business needs and technical best practices.
- Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Solution Architects on implementation plans, task breakdowns, and technical details.
- Lead critical task execution and provide technical support for complex production issues.
- Review merge requests and deployments to ensure correctness and reduce deployment failures.
- Mentor engineers and provide performance feedback based on code reviews and collaboration.
- Lead production issue war rooms and ensure root-cause analysis and fixes are completed within designated timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement based on lessons learned from production incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or system architecture.
- Proven experience handling critical tasks, production issues, and system-level ownership in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams through complex technical problems.
- Strong coding skills in one or more languages, such as Java.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Alicloud, databases, and system architecture.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and C4 diagrams at Level 3.
- Ability to break down large epics into manageable subtasks with clear technical details.
- Expertise handling production and security issues, leading war rooms, and ensuring timely resolutions.
- Ability to review code and merge requests effectively and troubleshoot deployment processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
- A master’s degree is a plus.
