Responsibilities

Lead backend architecture design and make architectural and technology roadmap decisions.
Guide backend engineers through technical direction, code reviews, quality standards, and best practices.
Own the service lifecycle from planning and implementation through testing, deployment, and incident resolution.
Design and optimize microservices, APIs, and internal and external system integrations.
Improve system performance, scalability, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
Drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling, automation, and documentation.
Mentor backend engineers and grow team capability through knowledge sharing.
Make build-versus-buy recommendations and collaborate with product, business, mobile, IoT, and infrastructure teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
5–8 years of backend engineering experience, including experience leading technical initiatives or teams.
Proficiency in backend languages such as Go, Node.js, Java, or similar.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and high-availability architectures.
Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, caching, and messaging systems.
Demonstrated system design, technical decision-making, and delivery of production-grade solutions.
Strong communication, leadership, and technical influence skills.
Bonus: experience with IoT or hardware-integrated systems and fintech, mobility, logistics, EV, or other multi-system operational platforms.
Bonus: familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
Bonus: exposure to DevOps tools and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Helm.
