Responsibilities
- Understand customer data estates, business priorities, governance needs, analytics goals, and generative and agentic AI readiness.
- Architect and deliver Azure data platforms and lead migrations to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databases.
- Apply secure, resilient, cost-optimized, and performance-optimized architecture practices, including the Well-Architected Framework, landing zones, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and performance optimization.
- Lead health, resilience, security, capacity management, data sovereignty, data residency, and regulatory compliance for critical data workloads.
- Provide technical leadership for architecture reviews, proofs of concept, MVPs, production deployments, and advanced analytics or machine learning scenarios.
- Manage customer and partner relationships, resolve technical blockers, represent customer feedback to Microsoft engineering, and influence product roadmaps.
- Deliver technical workshops, hackathons, cloud-readiness activities, and reusable data architecture guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, liberal arts, or a related field, plus at least 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- Professional verbal and written proficiency in both English and French.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of customer-facing experience and at least 4 years working on technical projects.
- Experience with cloud data migration and modernization across relational and non-relational databases, big data technologies, and distributed computing.
- Expertise in enterprise data and analytics platforms, data warehousing, lakehouse and big data architectures, ETL/ELT, business intelligence, real-time analytics, and data governance, security, and compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Databricks, and Azure Databases.
- Preferred cloud or security certification, such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, or security certifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business decision-makers.
Benefits
- Base pay range is CAD $96,000–$177,600 per year.
- The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
- The role works with customers across Canada in the Enterprise Commercial segment.
