Base Salary

$179k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant platforms using Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
  • Architect and optimize multi-tenant shared services including databases, MQTT, cert-manager, Keycloak, and blob storage.
  • Ensure platform services achieve real-world availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize platform solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform-related issues, conduct code reviews, and uphold coding standards.
  • Document platform architecture and design decisions and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters.
  • Proficiency in DevOps automation and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and experience operating them in production.
  • Experience with vertical and horizontal scaling of applications and services.
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud managed services including EKS, EC2, and S3, plus on-premises infrastructure equivalents.
  • Expertise in networking, including L4/L7 load balancers, and in designing multi-tenant shared services.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; PhD preferred.
