Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, test plans, regression strategies, and release testing scopes.
- Design, code, document, and maintain automated test cases and automation frameworks.
- Perform functional, manual, UI, API, frontend, backend, mobile, web application, and microservice testing.
- Analyze automated test coverage, failures, defects, quality metrics, and root causes.
- Monitor the reliability, performance, and ongoing health of test automation and product quality.
- Define QA best practices and processes for ensuring test coverage for new features.
- Evaluate new testing tools and strategies and recommend improvements.
- Use AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows to improve test design, test generation, test data, automation, debugging, documentation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with developers, managers, and cross-functional Agile teams to improve product quality, resiliency, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, Jest, Robot, or similar tools.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining UI automation tests.
- Very good experience with web debugging and profiling tools such as Chrome DevTools and Firefox Developer Tools.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and designing and implementing API tests.
- Ability to write detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test plans and perform manual testing when needed.
- Frontend and backend testing experience across web applications, mobile applications, and microservices.
- Very good experience with Git, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery and Quality Engineering practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, build automation, application deployment automation, and automated test execution in continuous integration pipelines.
- Ability to investigate test failures and defects, identify root causes, and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools for test design, test generation, test data preparation, automation development, debugging, documentation, and test analysis.
- Understanding of AI agents and agentic AI workflows and the ability to identify QA automation and AI adoption opportunities.
- QA certification such as ISTQB Foundation Level or ISTQB Agile Tester is preferred.
