Responsibilities
- Enhance products and shopping experiences using machine learning for recommendations, personalization, risk, fraud detection, search, and related domains.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in a specific machine learning domain while understanding product and user challenges.
- Define and resolve ambiguous problems with or without dedicated Product Manager support.
- Use product and business metrics to guide solutions and improve outcomes.
- Build an experimental, high-iteration process for testing and refining solutions.
- Develop, productionize, monitor, and improve machine learning products at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
- Use AI tools to improve development workflows, productivity, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Significant prior success as a Machine Learning Engineer working on challenging problems at scale.
- At least 6 years of industrial machine learning experience.
- Expertise in modeling and statistical modeling.
- Understanding of data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionization, and monitoring of ML products.
- Ability to develop machine learning products using strong engineering practices.
- Strong Python skills and experience with machine learning and deep learning libraries including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Strong problem-solving ability, scientific rigor, product and engineering judgment, and comfort working with ambiguity.
- Education in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics, or Mathematics.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Cursor to improve workflows and productivity.
