Responsibilities
- Lead backend application development from project planning through launch in alignment with product requirements and performance standards.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on product vision, user needs, UI/UX concepts, and backend planning.
- Work with frontend engineers to define APIs and coordinate frontend-backend integration.
- Write reliable, well-tested code, including unit and functional end-to-end tests.
- Plan feature rollouts, monitor performance and user feedback, and proactively address issues.
- Provide progress updates, delivery estimates, technical direction, and clear communication to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer leading projects end-to-end through launch.
- Proficiency in Java development technologies and the Spring framework.
- Knowledge of microservices, message queues, alerting, reliability, and feature flags.
- Understanding of development design patterns, development techniques, and REST API design principles.
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing approaches and libraries.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong collaboration, communication, prioritization, delivery, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
