Base Salary

$125k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Write reliable ground and vehicle software to control thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit.
  • Develop constellation optimization algorithms based on satellite operational requirements and physical constraints.
  • Define requirements and build simulations for future satellite constellations and hardware/software tradeoffs.
  • Own the full code lifecycle, including development, testing, verification, rollout, and monitoring.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline, or 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ or another systems programming language such as Rust.
  • Experience with reliable production software where correctness and reliability guarantees are essential is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of software performance and performance-oriented coding; experience with profilers, vectorization/SIMD, runtime optimization, and memory optimization is a plus.
  • Understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, builds, deployment, and monitoring is preferred.
  • Strong mathematics and physics knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong communication, writing, listening, ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work across engineering disciplines are preferred.
  • Passion for working with satellites and advancing the commercial space industry is preferred.
  • Applicants must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Benefits

  • Base salary range varies by level: Level 1 $125,000.00-$165,000.00 and Level 2 $145,000.00-$200,000.00.
