Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of embedded software throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop use cases, analyze requirements, perform object-oriented analysis and design, implement and unit test software, integrate systems, verify requirements, and support operations and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot software problems and perform root cause analysis.
- Provide technical support for bid and proposal efforts.
- Prepare and present briefings, workshops, and tutorials for engineers, management, customers, and working groups.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to program teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical/firmware, and RF engineers to meet customer requirements.
- Perform cost account management and support cross-functional software activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 7 years of C/C++ embedded software development experience.
- Experience with EVMS/CAM, inter-process communication, multithreaded programming, the Atlassian tool suite, CMake, Wireshark, and cross-functional software support.
- Proficiency in C and C++ development in multithreaded Windows or Linux environments and experience with real-time Linux development.
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include SATCOM, VHDL/FPGA design and verification, MagicDraw UML, Doxygen, Linux systems and network programming, ARM processors, Xilinx Zynq, Python, Perl, JavaScript, CMA architectures, SNMP, and RS232/RS485 serial communications experience.
