Responsibilities
- Define and unify control software architecture for air conditioning, refrigeration, and chiller equipment and controllers.
- Establish maintenance and operation rules for the software architecture.
- Drive model-based development initiatives and clarify their relationship to the new architecture.
- Align model-based development practices across related departments.
- Standardize model-based development and new-architecture processes and designs.
- Create an architecture application roadmap in cooperation with the Product Management team.
- Lead interdisciplinary and intercultural project collaboration and mentor, train, and coach team members.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in electrical, electronics, or information-related fields.
- At least 10 years of practical experience in embedded software development.
- Experience in embedded software and control-systems development.
- Experience designing and communalizing software architectures.
- Experience with model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink.
- At least 5 years of experience collaborating with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of model-based development, software architecture, refactoring, platforming, and communalization.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Experience leading interdisciplinary and intercultural project teams, or an intention to become involved in such leadership.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles, project implementation methodologies, thermodynamics, energy, or HVAC systems is a plus.
