Responsibilities
- Define and unify control software architecture for air conditioning, refrigeration, chiller equipment, and their controllers.
- Establish maintenance and operation rules for the software architecture.
- Drive model-based development initiatives and clarify their relationship to the new architecture.
- Align model-based development across related departments and standardize processes and designs.
- Create an application roadmap for the new architecture with the Product Management team.
- Lead interdisciplinary and intercultural project teams and mentor, train, and coach team members.
- Communicate with stakeholders and present technical information in English and Japanese.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in electricity, electronics, or information-related fields.
- At least 10 years of practical experience in embedded software development.
- Experience in embedded software and control systems development, software architecture design, and software communalization.
- Experience with model-based development using MATLAB and Simulink.
- At least 5 years of collaboration with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of model-based development, software architecture, refactoring, platforming, and communalization.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and project implementation methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, energy, and HVAC systems and basic commercial or financial understanding is a plus.
- Leadership, analytical, presentation, communication, stakeholder-management, and mentoring abilities, including English and Japanese proficiency.
