Base Salary

$130k - $214k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI agents, workflows, tools, plugins, and multi-agent systems.
  • Integrate agents with enterprise systems through APIs, tools, MCP servers, function calling, and UKG’s HCM platform.
  • Drive technical strategy and architecture for agentic AI initiatives and communicate complex designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery of large-scale agent-powered projects and coordinate the work of other team members.
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, reliability, service health, and quality through metrics, telemetry, root cause analysis, and preventative improvements.
  • Oversee agent deployment, monitoring, versioning, cost management, performance optimization, observability, execution tracing, decision logging, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and automate agent evaluation, prompt validation, tool validation, multi-step workflow, tool invocation, and adversarial scenario testing.
  • Mentor engineers and promote production-grade agent development, safety practices, and engineering excellence.
  • Evaluate emerging agentic technologies and advocate for appropriate platforms, capabilities, integrations, and orchestration patterns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years building production agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience building production agents with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience designing multi-agent systems, orchestration patterns, tool-use architectures, prompt engineering, context engineering, and agent design patterns.
  • Experience integrating agents with enterprise systems through REST APIs, tools, MCP, and function calling.
  • Extensive software architecture and design experience, including scalable and reliable systems developed in a DevOps model.
  • Proven record leading and delivering large-scale, complex software projects, including agentic AI initiatives.
  • Proficiency with GCP, Vertex AI, Azure, Azure OpenAI, AWS, Bedrock, and GitHub.
  • Experience building telemetry and observability for agentic systems, including execution tracing, decision logging, cost monitoring, and success-rate tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder-influence skills.
