Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives, including Journey Builder, automation, and Next Best Action integrations.
  • Own the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud data models, including Data Extensions, DMOs, DLOs, Contact Builder relationships, and Identity Resolution rulesets.
  • Design and build a knowledge graph, ontology, entity relationships, and deduplication logic for unified partner, property, contact, and campaign profiles.
  • Design, build, and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data models, APIs, and data distribution solutions.
  • Architect Zero Copy integrations between Salesforce Data Cloud and Expedia Group’s external data lake.
  • Establish orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, SLAs, release management, CI/CD, and reliability practices across SFMC and Data Cloud.
  • Integrate LLM and agentic AI capabilities into marketing data workflows, including enrichment, classification, content generation, and automation with appropriate guardrails.
  • Serve as a technical resource for engineers and marketing stakeholders, review designs and pull requests, and mentor engineers.
  • Partner with marketing, data science, and Salesforce stakeholders to translate platform capabilities into implementation plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience building and operating enterprise software platforms.
  • Hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or comparable enterprise MarTech platform experience, including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Content Builder, SSJS/AMPscript, and SOAP/REST APIs.
  • Experience leading complex technical projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with marketing-platform data integrations, CRM or marketing data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, large-scale audience and contact datasets, SQL, and cloud data warehouses.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with data processing and orchestration tools such as Spark, Airflow, or dbt.
  • Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, EC2, and AppFlow.
  • Experience with batch or stream processing using Spark, Kafka, or SQS.
  • Experience building with LLMs and GenAI services, including prompt design, retrieval/RAG patterns, vector stores, and output evaluation.
  • Experience using agentic AI for development and task orchestration.
  • Preferred qualifications include Marketo or Message Gears migration experience, Salesforce Data Cloud and Zero Copy architecture experience, knowledge graph and graph database experience, Salesforce metadata CI/CD, B2B marketing platforms, recommendation or audience-segmentation pipelines, data governance, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications.
