Responsibilities
- Automate testing processes and create scripts for high-level regression testing.
- Design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, estimates, and related documentation.
- Analyze test results, investigate and report defects, coordinate retesting after fixes, and follow issues through closure.
- Use SQL to query and manipulate data for analysis and testing.
- Perform functional and API testing, including SOAP and REST API automation testing.
- Manage testing projects from requirements gathering through reporting and actionable recommendations.
- Provide regular progress and status reports.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Work closely with development and quality assurance teams to create and maintain process measurements.
- Share relevant technical and industry knowledge with other team members.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in software testing, focused on functional testing and test documentation.
- At least 3 years of SQL experience for querying and manipulating data for analysis and testing.
- Strong automation testing skills and expertise across requirements analysis, test planning, test design, execution, defect management, reporting, and review.
- Knowledge of SOAP API and REST API testing and automation.
- Working knowledge of Swagger and Postman.
- Experience with Jira, Rally, Jenkins, and Git.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC phases and software testing processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, learning, and collaboration skills.
- Financial-services industry practices, regulations, and processes are advantageous.
- Knowledge of generative AI platforms such as GitHub Copilot is advantageous.
