Responsibilities
- Improve performance, database query optimization, scalability, monitoring, and observability.
- Manage and develop internal libraries for the Crystal platform.
- Improve development pipelines, including code coverage tooling integration, in collaboration with DevOps.
- Design and implement end-to-end features and continuously code, debug, test, and deliver improvements.
- Maintain high-quality code, conduct code reviews, support teammates, provide constructive feedback, and refactor code as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial experience developing Python backend services and web APIs.
- Strong software architecture skills and experience with distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data architecture, including PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Flask and performance optimization involving database queries and caching.
- Understanding of integration processes with external services, a product-oriented mindset, and proficiency in English.
- Preferred: ClickHouse, large-volume data systems, AI-enabled developer environments, raw SQL, major distributed-system reworks, Rust, or Bitcoin and blockchain technologies.
