Senior Software Engineer- Data Engineering (Commerce Team) , Hyderabad

- Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines and ETL/data ingestion workflows.
- Design scalable, reusable, modular, and maintainable software components and data transformations.
- Ensure data correctness, integrity, schema consistency, and downstream processing reliability.
- Implement unit tests, integration tests, data validation, and automated coverage for positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
- Implement and validate monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and operational readiness before deployment.
- Debug production issues, perform root-cause analysis, identify risks, and implement preventive safeguards.
- Own solutions end to end, including deployment verification, operational follow-through, and production support.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, standardization, and reusable platform patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering.
- Hands-on proficiency with Python and Spark/PySpark, plus SQL experience.
- Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or similar distributed data platforms.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade ETL or data ingestion pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, schema management, data validation, transformation logic, and data integrity.
- Experience implementing unit and integration tests for data applications.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, operational support, and observability processes.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, code reviews, CI/CD practices, deployment workflows, secure coding, secrets management, and static analysis remediation.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, clean-code practices, debugging ability, and troubleshooting skills.
