Base Salary
$175k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive technical solutions and identify architectural improvements across multiple technology domains.
- Evaluate and optimize solution architectures for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Architect integrated cloud-native, AI/ML, microservices, search, analytics, and streaming solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and implementation advisory services to cross-functional teams.
- Lead application modernization initiatives, including monolith decomposition, legacy decommissioning, and migration to service-oriented or microservices architectures.
- Support business development, pipeline development, account growth, strategic planning, and solution portfolio expansion.
- Present solution architectures and provide technical consultation to senior government executives.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability clearance.
- Residence within commuting distance of the customer site in Washington, DC.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, DevSecOps, AI/ML engineering, and technical architecture, including 3 years designing and deploying enterprise cloud applications with AI/ML on AWS.
- Strong solution architecture experience translating business requirements into scalable architectures and guiding cross-functional implementation teams.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon OpenSearch and/or Elastic Stack, including indexing, search performance tuning, data ingestion, and security practices.
- Experience architecting unified analytics platforms with Databricks for large-scale processing, machine learning workflows, and collaborative data science.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, application modernization, and service-oriented architecture migrations.
- Experience designing real-time data streaming architectures using Apache Kafka or other message brokers.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification preferred, or ability to obtain it.
