Responsibilities

  • Model, analyze, implement, and optimize CT/X-ray image algorithms for ZEISS products.
  • Solve core technical issues and improve algorithm performance and reliability.
  • Train and evaluate machine learning models for classification, object detection, and segmentation.
  • Apply image preprocessing, data augmentation, quantization, pruning, and model compression techniques.
  • Perform unit, integration, and model performance validation testing.
  • Collaborate on cross-site technical alignment and help develop the team’s technology stack.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, software engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Solid industry experience in defect image recognition; lithium-ion battery experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of battery manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, image processing, and computer vision, with substantial traditional image processing experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with algorithm modeling and emulation platforms.
  • Experience training machine learning models for classification, object detection, and segmentation.
  • Ability to analyze model performance using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score.
  • Expertise in model optimization techniques, including quantization, pruning, and model compression.
  • Advanced image processing skills, including data augmentation and preprocessing.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and model performance validation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of X-ray imaging systems and principles is a plus.
  • Experience with C# or C++ is a plus.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese is required.
  • International cross-site team experience is a plus.
