Responsibilities
- Design and develop the internal DBaaS offering.
- Write code in Go/Python to automate the database lifecycle.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery in system design.
- Investigate performance bottlenecks at various system levels.
- Build tooling to simplify large-scale stateful systems for product teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations to learn from and resolve issues.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Linux and distributed systems principles.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with operational challenges of running databases at scale.
- Proactive problem-solving skills focused on root-cause analysis.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to application engineers.
