Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Guidewire software solutions that meet quality and performance standards.
- Configure and customize vendor-provided Guidewire software to meet user needs.
- Develop features and capabilities for external customers and internal employees.
- Develop integrations between Guidewire and internal or external systems using SOAP/REST APIs, messaging, and middleware tools.
- Collaborate with software architects on new application designs.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborative programming practices.
- Work with colleagues and mentors to understand the codebase and development processes.
- Contribute to process optimization and organizational engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Guidewire ACE or Associate certification is required.
- 2–4 years of experience with Guidewire configuration and extension points, preferably in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- 2–4 years of experience with GOSU, Guidewire configuration, business rules, and data model concepts.
- 2–4 years of experience developing within Guidewire applications across multiple release cycles.
- Understanding of cloud concepts and Guidewire application operation in cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, strategic-thinking, and issue-mitigation skills.
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and resilient architectures.
