Responsibilities
- Analyze and implement architecture and configuration changes for tool enhancements, maintainability, reliability, content management, automation, and system integration.
- Research the feasibility of new or enhanced dashboard, search, menu, user interaction, and artificial intelligence features.
- Develop and maintain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frontend functionality and implement server-side logic when needed.
- Create, update, and enhance scripts, troubleshoot technical environment issues, and resolve application and performance problems.
- Perform unit, integration, end-to-end testing, and debugging of tool modifications and enhancements.
- Improve graphical user interfaces and analyze customer and IRS feedback to support follow-up actions.
- Interface with customers and collaborate with stakeholders and project delivery teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a relevant discipline, or four years of equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience with IRS business processes, UI and web design, system administration, Java programming, and network topology.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Microsoft tools, SharePoint, Teams, and content management systems.
- Ability to analyze documents, spreadsheets, emails, and other artifacts and provide input or feedback.
- Experience writing and executing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and resolving application issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, requiring U.S. citizenship or a Green Card.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, follow-through, and collaborative teamwork skills.
- An active IRS MBI clearance is highly desirable.
