Responsibilities
- Maintain the smooth operation of production systems used by millions of users.
- Develop and maintain engineering tools, including process and work-tracking systems.
- Build and operate CI/CD infrastructure and release automation.
- Develop and maintain testing infrastructure across various environments and stages.
- Investigate and resolve scalability bottlenecks and production incidents.
- Perform system administration, integration, and coding or scripting automation for development-related systems.
- Communicate with peers, QA Engineers, and developers about system use, requirements, evolution, and test automation.
- Share knowledge and provide or receive mentorship.
Requirements
- Have strong computer science fundamentals based on a computer science degree or distinctive work experience in software development.
- Have experience with Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP in a cloud environment.
- Demonstrate strong shell scripting skills in a Linux environment.
- Have development experience in at least one of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C, or C++.
- Be able to develop foundational engineering infrastructure for use across the company.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Have exceptional attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Have strong communication skills for capturing requirements and sharing designs and progress.
