Responsibilities
- Build and maintain gateway, service mesh, and shared microservices for client and backend services.
- Design and implement solutions for API gateway concerns, cross-cluster service meshes, authentication, authorization, and large-scale Istio deployments.
- Independently ship complex, high-quality production features and improvements with limited oversight.
- Design processes and workflows emphasizing testability, repeatability, self-service automation, and developer tooling.
- Maintain code, documentation, monitoring, and alerting while improving the long-term health of production systems.
- Influence peers through code and design reviews, advise stakeholders, and help onboard newcomers and optimize team processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with technologies including Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bash, and CI/CD systems.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud technology, preferably AWS or Azure, or strong familiarity with the ability to become an expert.
- Familiarity with networking concepts in microservice architectures.
- At least 1 year of experience with AI technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to independently ship high-quality features and operate as a subject matter expert on production software systems.
- Passion for developer tooling, automation, and platform solutions.
