Base Salary
$200k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design development and production platforms and abstractions over cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and networking.
- Scale infrastructure platforms as product usage grows.
- Own deployment architecture and lifecycle management in customer-owned cloud environments, including VPC configuration, permissioning, networking, provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and incident support.
- Build runbooks and automation for repeatable enterprise deployments.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, rollback, and other reliability practices for production systems.
- Own the reliability, latency, availability, and graceful degradation of systems supporting AI agents.
- Partner with customer platform, security, and DevOps teams and with Decagon’s Product, Security, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and operating core infrastructure, platform engineering, or infrastructure/DevOps systems.
- Deep experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, plus Terraform and Kubernetes at scale.
- Strong understanding of VPCs, IAM, DNS, load balancing, and cloud networking constraints.
- Production operations experience including monitoring, on-call, incident response, and failure-mode analysis.
- Ability to work with engineering, security, compliance, platform, and DevOps stakeholders and turn requirements into actionable plans.
- Clear technical writing and experience driving adoption across teams.
- Preferred experience managing deployments in customer-owned cloud environments, including security reviews, compliance requirements, and change management.
- Preferred experience building internal platforms, service templates, self-service environments, CI/CD pipelines, or deployment automation.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar observability and incident-management tools.
- Preferred security-minded infrastructure-as-code experience involving provenance, secrets, and least privilege.
- Preferred experience operating latency-sensitive or ML/AI-serving workloads in production.
- Experience using AI-assisted tooling is a plus.
