Base Salary

$149k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate security software, automation, tools, and internal solutions for endpoint security.
  • Build production-scale Python automation and utilities to reduce manual effort, improve endpoint configuration consistency, and accelerate incident response.
  • Integrate and tune event ingestion, alerting, detection logic, and remediation workflows across SIEM, SOAR, telemetry, and endpoint security systems.
  • Apply endpoint security technologies including XDR, vulnerability management, network security, and application control.
  • Participate in threat modeling, vendor evaluation, proof-of-concepts, platform enhancements, and security architecture decisions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code efforts for endpoint security services.
  • Support security policies, standard operating procedures, change management, documentation, endpoint hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with product managers, architects, security engineers, and other teams throughout project delivery and ongoing operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on security software development experience.
  • Experience developing production automation for more than 10,000 endpoint systems.
  • Continuous hands-on scripting or programming experience with Python or Go.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and the secure software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with formal enterprise change management processes.
  • Ability to perform proof-of-concepts, engage in threat modeling, participate in vendor evaluation, and lead initiatives or support team goals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Preferred: experience operating endpoint protection, security firewall, email security, or exposure management platforms at enterprise scale.
  • Preferred: experience building detection content or automated response playbooks in SIEM or SOAR platforms.
  • Preferred: experience contributing to infrastructure-as-code or configuration-as-code pipelines in a security operations context.

  • The stated base salary range is $148,500–$223,900 annually, or $178,900–$246,000 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area locations; bonus, equity, and other incentives may also apply.
