Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build a modern cloud-native platform with Elixir at its core.
- Develop a fine-grained access control system for clinical data and patient data ownership.
- Design and ship infrastructure supporting rolling deployments, failover, 24/7 availability, and real-time data synchronization.
- Architect an integration engine connecting ventilators, bedside monitors, imaging equipment, lab equipment, and other hospital hardware.
- Improve data movement and workflows among nurses, doctors, administrators, and other hospital users.
- Write clean, robust software and tackle novel technical problems using strong fundamentals and first-principles thinking.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with object-oriented and functional programming, with the ability and willingness to adopt new technologies.
- Experience with tools such as Phoenix, Elixir, Python, Erlang, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of tackling challenging engineering problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment.
- Experience building products from 0 to 1 with strong product sense.
- Familiarity with open-source technology and willingness to explore and experiment with new solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, and best practices.
- Passion for making a meaningful impact in healthcare through software innovation is a plus.
