Base Salary
$87k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end full-stack software and systems from initial vision through production readiness.
- Use Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Python, relational databases, SQL, Linux, Docker, and cloud or virtualized infrastructure.
- Work with Cursor-on-Target, KML, GeoJSON, the Tactical Assault Kit ecosystem, and ATAK plugin development.
- Evaluate current architecture and operating environments while planning future functionality and enhancements.
- Identify system improvements and debug, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain application code.
- Support mission-focused client solutions in a fast-paced development environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software programming with object-oriented languages such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
- At least 3 years of experience with Python for backend services, data processing, or automation.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Cursor-on-Target and geospatial data formats such as KML and GeoJSON.
- Experience with Linux server administration and containerization such as Docker.
- Experience provisioning and managing virtualized or cloud infrastructure such as AWS EC2, Azure, vSphere, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of the Tactical Assault Kit ecosystem, including ATAK plugin development.
- Secret clearance is required, and applicants may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred qualifications include Android application development, Android SDK, cellular and wireless technologies, WinTAK, TAK X, TAK Server, ATAK-CIV SDK, Gradle-based plugin builds, NATS, MQTT, ActiveMQ, gRPC, protobuf, DevOps, continuous integration and deployment, shell scripting, and automation.
- Top Secret clearance is a preferred qualification.
