Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and maintain complex full-stack software applications.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, React, and TypeScript.
- Design and develop back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and/or Python.
- Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Implement event-driven and asynchronous architectures using Kafka or similar technologies.
- Deploy applications in AWS GovCloud and/or C2S environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and automated unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and production issues and support monitoring and production operations.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and software engineering standards activities.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, DevOps engineers, product owners, and other technical stakeholders.
- Apply secure software development and DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong front-end development experience with Angular, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with Node.js and/or Python for back-end development.
- Strong experience developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging or event-streaming technologies.
- Experience with AWS, preferably AWS GovCloud and/or C2S.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, and software integration.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required government clearance or background investigation.
- Preferred experience includes supporting federal government, DHS, CBP, or other mission-critical applications; high-volume 24x7 environments; cloud-native architecture; secure software development and DevSecOps; automated infrastructure and deployment; and mentoring junior developers.
- Relevant AWS, Java, Kubernetes, or software development certifications are preferred.
