Base Salary
$173k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multiplatform, fault-tolerant application systems.
- Build both user-facing front-end and server-side back-end applications for the travel portal.
- Use JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, Angular/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, databases, and AWS tools and services.
- Improve the software engineering developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools.
- Establish engineering best practices, technical standards, and code review standards.
- Own architecture, contribute to high-level design, and assess how evolving technology affects the domain.
- Provide technical support and mentor junior and intermediate associates.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on software development experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in application or data design, architecture, and development.
- Experience with at least two of JavaScript, React, Angular/TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Java, or Go.
- Proficiency developing both front-end and back-end applications in a full-stack role.
- Experience mentoring junior or intermediate associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8 or more years leading the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred: a bachelor's, master's, or diploma in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or other cloud products such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
- Preferred: experience in an agile environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
