Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware solutions for AWS servers and power infrastructure.
- Lead firmware development from initial conception through production deployment.
- Architect deployment strategies that minimize customer impact while maintaining security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with hardware, validation, software services, external partners, and internal customers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption into the firmware stack.
- Drive solutions balancing security, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
- Integrate firmware with AWS infrastructure and operational workflows.
- Mentor team members and improve development processes, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
- Professional embedded development experience in C/C++.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: knowledge of ARM CPUs, low-level driver development, and at least one of I2C, SPI, USB, or UART.
