
Principal Engineer. Virtual Prototype Modeling

Responsibilities
- Develop SystemC/TLM2.0-based models for IP blocks, CPUs, SoCs, and electronic systems.
- Define transaction-level models for processors, cache controllers, interconnects, peripherals, NPUs, and ISPs.
- Port operating systems to virtual prototypes and develop device drivers.
- Verify virtual prototype models at the IP and SoC levels.
- Develop regression-ready, self-checking test suites using C and ARM assembly.
- Develop system-level flows and methodologies using virtual prototypes.
- Support firmware and software teams in effectively using virtual prototypes.
Requirements
- BTech or MTech in electrical engineering or computer science.
- 15+ years of hardware engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, SystemC, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing SystemC and TLM-based models for SoC virtual platforms and expertise creating virtual prototypes of SoCs or electronic systems.
- Experience with virtual prototype tools including ARM Fast Models, Synopsys Virtualizer, and Wind River Simics.
- Experience validating virtual prototypes, writing bare-metal tests, using embedded toolchains and assembly language, debugging, and working with embedded Linux.
- Knowledge of microprocessors, microcontrollers, SoC architecture, bus protocols, computer and processor architecture, caches, MMUs, and pipelines.
- Experience developing applications in assembly or higher-level languages.
- Exposure to quality processes, project execution and delivery, and collaboration across multiple geographic teams.
- Preferred expertise in IP-XACT, SystemRDL, and SystemC-AMS.
