Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex enterprise and cloud-native architectures.
- Define architecture patterns for microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and specifications.
- Drive application modernization and migration strategies.
- Design secure, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
- Implement identity and access management using Azure AD, SSO, OAuth, and OpenID.
- Enable monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams of 7–10 or more developers.
- Drive CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Design enterprise integrations using APIs and messaging systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on proposals, roadmaps, and technical strategy.
Requirements
- 12+ years of overall IT experience in software development and architecture.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- At least 3 years of experience in an Application Architect or Solution Architect role.
- Proven experience designing cloud-native applications using Azure and microservices architecture.
- Strong expertise in API-driven architectures, distributed systems, and enterprise application design.
- Experience leading end-to-end solution delivery from architecture through implementation.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams of 7–10 or more developers.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, AZ-305, or equivalent.
- Preferred: clinical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or GxP-regulated environment experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Preferred: experience with application modernization and enterprise integrations.
- Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education may be considered.
