Base Salary
$200k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain resilient, highly available cloud architectures and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks and failure risks.
- Participate in the primary on-call rotation, lead incident response, and promote sustainable blameless postmortem practices.
- Develop automation, tooling, and processes for deployment, monitoring, and cloud operations.
- Optimize infrastructure and applications for performance, scalability, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and production on-call playbooks.
- Consult on software development, system design reviews, launch reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and cross-team guidance on reliability engineering practices.
- Collaborate with security engineers to support security standards, policies, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar senior-level role managing cloud-based services and infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience leading projects and designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems running in the cloud.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and SRE and security practices.
- Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools.
