Base Salary
$146k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build fleet-scale pipelines that convert onboard signals into actionable investigations.
- Develop automated triage and correlation systems that deduplicate issues, route them to owning teams, and provide priority signals and diagnostic context.
- Partner with engineering teams and subject matter experts to improve instrumentation, automation, and signal quality.
- Build internal tools and workflows for self-service debugging, standardized metrics, shared templates, and securely scoped access.
- Lead reliability investigations and ensure findings result in durable engineering changes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support systems across design, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience writing and shipping production software.
- Ability to build and maintain internal tools, automation, instrumentation, and visualizations for other engineers.
- Experience or proficiency with Python, Go, Bash, and C++.
- Strong debugging fundamentals across the stack, including live troubleshooting and use of system signals.
- Interest in reliability engineering and making complex systems understandable, resilient, and easier to operate.
- Background in distributed systems or real-world deployed systems such as vehicles, robotics, or IoT is a bonus.
- Familiarity with production telemetry and observability is a bonus.
- Experience applying reliability metrics and operational feedback loops is a bonus.
- Exposure to cross-team reliability work in mission-critical environments is a bonus.
