Responsibilities
- Mature the application and Product Security program across the software development lifecycle.
- Drive Secure by Design principles, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews.
- Increase coverage of repositories, microservices, and endpoints through SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanning.
- Monitor security gates and deployment blocks caused by high-severity policy violations.
- Lead vulnerability management and product-risk remediation programs across the organization.
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to influence architecture, design, and security strategy.
- Communicate technical risk to executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Function as a technical team lead for a globally distributed team.
- Travel occasionally for team meetings, training, or company events.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience across Software Engineering, Security Engineering, Application Security, or Product Security.
- Proven experience with Product Security programs in modern SaaS or cloud-native environments.
- Deep expertise in Secure SDLC, Secure by Design, threat modeling, security architecture, application security, API security, and modern authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kubernetes, containers, and multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Engineering and Product leadership and influence architecture and security strategy.
- Ability to communicate technical risk effectively to executive leadership and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Preferred experience securing AI/GenAI-powered products and platforms.
- Preferred hands-on software engineering experience building distributed systems.
- Preferred experience implementing security automation in modern CI/CD environments.
- Preferred experience leading globally distributed Product Security teams.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or GIAC certifications are preferred.
