Base Salary
$158k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain backend services for file storage, permissions synchronization, and third-party integrations at enterprise scale.
- Design event-driven systems for real-time permission propagation across Addepar’s financial graph and external storage providers while meeting compliance revocation SLAs.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, security, and compliance partners on sensitive data access-control projects.
- Lead migration efforts such as FileVault to Box, webhook consolidation, and folder structure evolution with zero-downtime production rollouts.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices and principles.
- Explore AI-powered intelligent file processing, automated metadata extraction, and content-aware workflows.
- Evaluate third-party file platform capabilities to expand Addepar’s file management offerings.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- Experience with server-side languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server.
- Ability to complete complex projects involving partners across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: experience building scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Bonus: experience working with file system vendors.
Benefits
- Base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits are included in the compensation package.
- The U.S. base salary range is $158,000—$248,000, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and must be authorized to begin work on the first day.
