Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with digital product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Use programming languages, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services to build solutions.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while driving professional development.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and influence enterprise-wide technology strategy.
- Implement observability and reliability practices and optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9 or more years coding with more than two listed programming languages, 5 or more years contributing to open-source frameworks, and 5 or more years with frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred: experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs, working with databases and database management systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version-control systems.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, using observability to optimize distributed systems, and implementing reliability practices at scale.
- Preferred: experience leading architecture reviews, enforcing coding standards, influencing technology strategy, using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, and leading cross-functional or large-scale technical initiatives.
