Responsibilities
- Embed with clinical, product, and operations teams and own AI solutions from intake through production deployment and monitoring.
- Determine whether initiatives should be built, wrapped, or vetted and establish validation standards before release.
- Build agentic AI capabilities including tool and function calling, RAG, MCP integrations, multi-step orchestration, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
- Architect solutions on the shared Prenuvo AI platform, including model serving, AWS Bedrock foundation-model contracts, evaluation, monitoring, tool registration, and prompt guardrails.
- Define acceptance criteria, offline and online evaluations, escalation triggers, and AI risk categorization before implementation.
- Create reusable templates, registered tools, and reference architectures for the shared platform.
- Improve AI fluency across partner teams through design reviews and office hours.
Requirements
- Six or more years of experience building and delivering product-grade software, including shipping AI-powered features to production.
- Experience with LLM and/or imaging applications using tool calling, RAG, or agent orchestration.
- Strong full-stack development experience with Python, practical cloud engineering, APIs, deployment, and direct work in other teams' codebases.
- Ability to evaluate probabilistic software, reason about failure modes, and establish performance measurement methods.
- Ability to define validation standards, scope ambiguous product requests, and communicate decisions with clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience building evaluation harnesses, acceptance criteria, and human-in-the-loop designs.
- Experience in regulated, clinical, or healthcare-data environments and familiarity with FDA, Health Canada, ISO 13485, or PHI is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, AWS Bedrock, MCP, tool/function interfaces, consulting, solutions architecture, or forward-deployed work is preferred.

- The base salary is $140,000-$160,000 CAD per year, depending on experience and geographic location.
