Responsibilities
- Apply computer science, engineering, mathematical analysis, digital signal processing, communication systems, and software engineering concepts to software development.
- Develop embedded software and firmware for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop software test procedures, software programs, and technical documentation.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational requirements, and overall system performance.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and repair defects.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, wireless engineering, information security, mathematics, digital arts and sciences, or a related field.
- Understanding of time-domain versus frequency-domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation and coding algorithms is relevant to the digital signal processing work.
- Preferred familiarity with one or more listed programming languages, development tools, operating systems, embedded systems, real-time controls, wireless technologies, robotics, or related engineering concepts.
