Base Salary
$117k - $314k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement secure, fault-tolerant, highly available cloud infrastructure on public cloud services.
- Optimize system performance and resolve bottlenecks for highly trafficked services.
- Evolve CI/CD pipelines for multi-service environments to improve resilience and reduce complexity.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and changes using infrastructure as code.
- Monitor infrastructure, configure anomaly alerts, and proactively maintain system health using observability tools.
- Define and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, architecture diagrams, testing standards, and code reviews.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience emphasizing backend systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, Ruby, or comparable programming languages.
- Deep experience architecting secure solutions on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with automated provisioning using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Experience with container orchestration and automated deployments using Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Docker.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing solutions such as ClickHouse.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Cursor.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
