Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility studies, scope definition, and time and cost estimation for application systems and programs.
- Serve as a Java subject matter expert and advise stakeholders and team members on best practices, architecture, and complex technical issues.
- Analyze systems and business processes and recommend improvements aligned with industry standards.
- Develop security measures and ensure solutions comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Own the development lifecycle across analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and deployment.
- Build, maintain, test, and support applications based on business and user requirements.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology teams to resolve issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Define and refine development procedures, operating standards, and team processes.
- Coach and mentor new or junior developers.
- Collaborate with business users, product owners, and other technology teams to deliver projects successfully.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience, including substantial cloud-based and distributed-systems experience.
- Expertise in Java, J2EE, RESTful API design, and cloud engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience building production services with Spring and Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL, plus familiarity with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and messaging technologies such as MQ and Kafka.
- Commitment to clean code, design patterns, and test-driven development practices.
- Fluency in Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle, including experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to lead technical delivery autonomously, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Bachelor's or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- Primary location salary range is $94,300 to $141,500 per year.
