Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain services leveraging large language models and generative AI for intelligent shopping experiences.
- Build and own distributed components for end-to-end product selection processing pipelines, from catalog ingestion through customer offer availability.
- Develop expertise in Amazon catalog systems and influence their evolution for next-generation selection and offer processing.
- Collaborate with applied scientists to process massive datasets, scale ML models, and define evaluation criteria.
- Lead technical strategy for data enrichment pipelines, model optimization frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and scalable system architecture.
- Prototype technologies, evaluate feasibility, and bring generative AI techniques into production.
- Identify and resolve operational gaps, participate in code reviews, and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Mentor junior engineers through design guidance and operational excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
