Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support, configuration, and customization for SAP S/4HANA FICO, especially General Ledger and Controlling.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP FICO functional specifications.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform impact analysis, and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional teams.
- Support error correction, suspense accounting, and monthly and yearly book closures.
- Document functional specifications, configurations, and processes.
- Lead SAP project testing, including comprehensive test plans and SOX/audit compliance.
- Maintain Snowflake and cloud-based data platform integrations.
- Debug data transformations and metadata-driven pipelines connecting SAP, Mainframe, Informatica, and other systems.
- Collaborate with Agile teams, product owners, and business analysts on SAP and data solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive automation, tuning, and continuous improvement of SAP and data integrations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience combining SAP S/4HANA FICO functional consulting focused on GL/CO and data engineering.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, SOX/audit compliance, and collaboration with internal and external auditors.
- Strong knowledge of SAP configuration/customization, integration with other SAP modules, and SDLC pipelines.
- Experience troubleshooting complex SAP and data platform issues.
- Understanding of data integration architecture and API technologies for scalable SAP data interfaces with external systems and cloud platforms.
- Experience with scalable data ingestion flows, microservices-based transformations, metadata-driven development, and data quality controls.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- 3+ years of experience with the full SAP implementation lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA version 1909 or higher.
- Experience with front-end Fiori tile business transactions.
- An accounting degree and CPA or Chartered Accountant certification are preferred.
- SAP certification is preferred.
