Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on SAP S/4HANA FICO support focused on General Ledger, Controlling, configuration, and customization.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP FICO functional specifications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct impact analysis, and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
  • Support error correction, suspense accounting, and monthly and yearly book closures.
  • Document SAP configurations, functional specifications, and operational processes.
  • Lead testing efforts and create comprehensive testing plans for SAP projects.
  • Maintain Snowflake and cloud-based data platform integrations.
  • Debug data transformations and metadata-driven pipelines integrating SAP, Mainframe, and Informatica.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams, product owners, and business analysts on SAP and data solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive automation, tuning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience combining SAP S/4HANA FICO functional consulting focused on GL/CO and data engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with the full SAP implementation lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, SOX and audit compliance, SAP configuration and customization, and SAP module integration.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex SAP and data platform issues and working with internal and external auditing teams.
  • Understanding of data integration architecture, API technologies, scalable data ingestion, microservices-based transformations, metadata-driven development, and data quality controls.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA version 1909 or higher and experience with Front-End Fiori Tile Business Transactions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
  • An accounting degree, CPA or Chartered Accountant certification, and SAP Certification are preferred.
