Base Salary
$88k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deliver clean, production-ready code
- Build fast, scalable websites and applications using React, Gatsby, and Tailwind CSS
- Build API integrations to support content production
- Maintain a clean and lightweight production code repository
- Develop and maintain front-end components using Toast’s internal design system
- Ensure websites are accessible, performant, SEO/AEO-friendly, and responsive across devices
- Collaborate with project managers, web team members, and Toast stakeholders
- Help shape technical decisions, tooling, and team best practices
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience with React and its ecosystem
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Strong experience with Gatsby and concepts including static site generation and GraphQL
- Experience with Tailwind CSS
- Experience integrating website designs with a headless CMS
- Understanding of REST API usage best practices
- Experience building for multiple regions and languages
- Strong understanding of web application security principles and best practices
- Strong knowledge of Git and code repository best practices
- Ability to estimate project timelines accurately and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping and technical problem-solving using AI-assisted workflows without compromising reliability or test coverage
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with backend concepts such as Node.js, APIs, and serverless functions
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and creating data models
- Familiarity with Contentful or a comparable CMS
