
Senior Lead Software Engineer, Python Developer, Equities Technology - Prime Services

- Write, design, develop, troubleshoot, and review high-quality production software for front-office technology systems.
- Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to improve trading and execution workflows.
- Translate business and quantitative requirements into scalable architectures and implementation roadmaps.
- Drive adoption, governance, validation, and responsible use of AI-assisted software development tools across engineering teams.
- Establish secure coding, peer review, automated testing, release readiness, and incident-analysis practices for AI-assisted development.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote reusable patterns and automation across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets, equity market microstructure, and electronic trading workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in Python or Java and experience with large-scale event-driven systems.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, stakeholder alignment, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security controls in engineering workflows.
- Preferred experience in quantitative trading or market analysis, KDB/q, FIX, market data, order management systems, SecDB, Athena, Quartz, Kafka, or AMPS.
