Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify application source code, bug fixes, enhancements, and GUI improvements.
- Develop and deploy software in cloud environments and across Sponsor networks.
- Integrate externally developed code into core software libraries and coordinate with configuration management personnel.
- Design and develop REST APIs while maintaining modular software library designs, APIs, code organization, and coding standards.
- Install and configure application software and evaluate third-party vendors and software partners.
- Support software libraries and applications involving audio/video, image-processing algorithms, operating systems, file systems, and device drivers.
- Assist with software quality and release-readiness standards, methods, and procedures.
- Conduct SDLC testing, including regression testing, and follow established software quality procedures.
- Prepare program-level and user-level technical documentation.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with the team.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope Polygraph is required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience or a related master's degree.
- On-the-job experience with Linux operating systems and Bash shell scripting.
- Software development experience using Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Experience integrating FOSS and COTS technologies.
- Experience with virtualized infrastructure environments such as VMware or AWS.
- Experience with customer DevOps tools such as GitHub.
- Experience with PKI certificates, encryption protocols, SSL/TLS, JSON, XML, and data-transfer protocols including FTP, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, and QUIC.
- Experience preparing program-level and user-level documentation and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, LDAP, Active Directory, secure data encryption, AWS configuration and development, SQL, JIRA, and Agile software development teams or methodologies.
