Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain real-time risk, PnL, and trade-feed applications.
- Design, implement, and unit test software using C# and .NET.
- Conduct performance testing, profiling, optimization, and troubleshooting for high-volume financial data processing.
- Diagnose and resolve code issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Work with messaging technologies and web technologies in highly available, low-latency systems.
- Collaborate with globally distributed development, production-support, and business teams.
- Identify system enhancements and analyze code using application-development procedures and scripting tools.
- Operate with limited supervision, exercise independent judgment, and act as a subject-matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related stated field.
- At least 8 years of experience in a developer role on large and complex projects.
- Strong C# knowledge and experience with .NET Framework 4.5.2+ and .NET 5+.
- Understanding of .NET performance analysis and optimization approaches.
- Experience writing comprehensive unit tests with NUnit, xUnit, Shouldly, or equivalent frameworks.
- Familiarity with web technologies, Swagger, authentication, and TLS.
- Experience or familiarity with high-volume, low-latency, highly available financial systems, trading platforms, or financial data processing.
- Exposure to Python, Java, Bash, and Linux, with willingness to develop further knowledge where needed.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Understanding of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, system design, architecture, algorithms, and implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and execution skills.
