Responsibilities
- Design and enhance systems for plans, add-ons, pricing, and packaging using a config-driven approach.
- Develop backend systems capable of integrating with multiple payment providers.
- Optimize APIs, enhance scalability, and improve system resilience.
- Support multi-region and multi-currency capabilities, including tax integrations and new payment methods.
- Build systems for discounts, credits, custom pricing, and admin controls.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Support, Security, and Platform teams to deliver solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, define best practices, mentor engineers, and influence architecture decisions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building scalable, distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with MySQL and Redis.
- Deep expertise in database design, query optimization, and system performance.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record of building products/services from scratch and leading complex technical initiatives.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with PMs, EMs, and stakeholders.
- Bonus: Understanding of monetization platforms including payments, subscriptions, and revenue recognition.
